Kolacho School of Hip Hop in Medellin, Columbia is a group of young artists who are working to remove other young people from gangs and rehabilitate them through music and other arts while promoting a philosophy of nonviolence. The foundation has created several hip hop groups with online stations to broadcast their social message through music.
Currently, more than 250 boys and girls attend their headquarters program to learn music and other arts in the Kolacho School of Hip Hop. In October 2013, the group of young talent met the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour band and dancers and even performed for them. They also met Beyoncé and enjoyed watched the show from the BeyHive.
The Kolacho School of Hip Hop will be featured in the Chime for Change program for 2014 project funding.
